Blockchain tracking service WhaleStats has shared that in the past 24 hours, two Ethereum whales, ranked 26th and 27th by this platform, made two transactions, acquiring a cumulative massive amount of Shiba Inu tokens.

Apart from SHIB, Ethereum whales keep acquiring other popular tokens: MATIC and LINK.

Whales add over 106 billion SHIB

WhaleStats detected two weighty transactions—one carrying 51,796,042,392 SHIB and the other one wiring 54,345,553,998 SHIB. These transfers were worth $1,084,609 and $1,067,346, respectively.

The difference in the fiat equivalent despite almost identical sums in SHIB can be explained by the fact that at some point on Jan. 24, the token dropped by almost 20% percent—from $0.00002325 to $0.00001871. At press time, the second most popular meme cryptocurrency is changing hands at $0.00002054.

The wallet of the first whale—0x2ee555c9006a9dc4674f01e0d4dfc58e013708f0—holds a total of $92,588,584 worth of SHIB (17.63% of their holdings); the meme token comes second after the Twitter token (22.61% of their portfolio worth $118,754,712).

Grabbing MATIC and LINK

WhaleStats also tweeted that an Ethereum whale ranked 131th purchased of 5,630,000 Polygon (MATIC). That amount of crypto is equal to $8,501,300.

Another large Ethereum holder, ranked 4 on the aforementioned platform, bought 199,999 LINK, spending $3,129,999 on it.

Grayscale considers adding MATIC Trust

Chainlink has been on the list of Grayscale cryptocurrency trusts for a long time already, along with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Stellar and other altcoins. Recently, the company has added MATIC to the list of crypto assets that it might add in the near future and is considering them at the moment.

On the consideration list, apart from MATIC, are also Monero, Algorand, Cosmos, BitTorrent, EOS, ZRX, IOTA, DOT, LUNA, VeChain and other altcoins.
