Mexico-Based Utel University now accepts Shiba Inu (SHIB) as payment via Bitso.

The Mexico-based Utel University’s students in more than 11 countries, including the United States, Mexico, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama, and Peru, can now pay their tuition fees with 34 cryptocurrencies, including Shiba Inu (SHIB). This became possible after the Mexico online university Utel joined hands with one of the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchanges, Bitso.

Following this partnership, Utel becomes one of the first online universities in Latin America to incorporate cryptocurrencies as an efficient, transparent, and reliable method of payment for its community.

Founded in 2014, Bitso is Mexico’s biggest cryptocurrency exchange, with more than 5 million registered users. On January 12th, 2022, the Mexican exchange added support for Shiba Inu.
